The Yellow Submarine presents "While Working": a new design exhibit.
The
past few years have been eventful and fruitful for design in Jerusalem.
Besides initiatives within the establishment, such as the Center for
Design behind the designers' site at Agripas 88, independent and equally
fascinating initiatives are springing up all around.
"While Working,"
which will open on June 1 at the Yellow Submarine is a good example of
such an initiative. Many design graduates do not find work in design
upon concluding their studies and are therefore forced to find work in
other areas: teaching art, high tech, and office work. But even in these
jobs, the design bug continues to inspire and move the young designers.
Whatever the framework, they continue to think of new ideas and their
hands continue to sketch.
"While Working" comes to give a push to this
unstoppable drive to design and reveal some of the latest work of these
talented designers to the public, in the hope that it will help them
move forward with their work. The exhibit will open on June 1 at 20:30
and will be on throughout the month of June at the Yellow Submarine.
"Tze'irim Bamerkaz" generously supported the exhibition.
The opening
will be followed by a live jazz show by Jambalia.
