Lilith in Jewish Mythology represents the archetype of the dark feminine; according to the Talmud, she and Adam were created from the same earth, but when he demanded her to lay under him she refused to obey him, escaped from paradise and became the feared demoness that has threaten new born babies and lonely men. In her book Liliana Kleiner revives this ancient myth as a poetic, personal and archetypal story, relevant to our times.
