The Jerusalem Municipality presents Earth Day 2011 events.
Schedule of events for Earth Day:
20:10: Lights Out: the Old City Wall lights as well as all the main public city lights will be turned off temporarily.
On March 24, 2011, from 20:00-22:00, the Green Center in the German Colony in the Natural History Museum's community garden will hold lectures on the topic of the day.
20:00: Community garden compost initiatives
20:30: A lecture on alternative energy with physicist Gidon Friedman
Refreshements and organic hot drinks will be served.
In addition, community gardens around Jerusalem will host Earth Day events. Check for details on the Iriya's website and at your local community council.
