A mishmash of Hebrew words that indicates loads of cultural offerings at little or no cost taking place on three weekends in Jerusalem, "Hamshushalaim" kicks off its sixth season in December 2010: December 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18, 2010.
This years events offer something for everyone, including hundreds of events at cultural venues and tourist destinations all over Jerusalem, dozens of outdoor and indoor shows, performances, street theatre, attractions, and special deals at restaurants and hotels.
Hamshushalayim 2010 at the Shai Agnon House:
On Thursday, December 2, 9, and 16, the museum will be open free of charge from 21:00-1:00. At 21:00 there will be a performance: "Magic and Miraculous Tales for a Late Night Hour" a theatrical musical performance based on Agnon's "Hachnasat Kallah." Advance reservations required.
On Friday, December 3, 10, and 17, the museum will open free of charge from 9:00-12:00. Guided tours will take place at 10:00 in Hebre and at 11:00 in English. Advance reservations required.
