Ronen Shteinbaum and Shira Z. Carmel

About This Event

Hama’abada presents Ronen Shteinbaum and Shira Z. Carmel:

What happens at the mysterious encounter between words and composition which makes a song good? Why do some songs linger inside us, even after we heard it just once? How do we turn a verbal idea and a musical texture to a melodic gut feeling? And finally, what in our day to day life are we able to describe?

Creating singers are the point beneath these question marks.

Ronen Shteinbaum and Shira Z. Carmel- two creating singers, each with a unique voice, combine powers in a double performance- each with their bands, with small and precise as possible songs- in English and Hebrew, from here and there.

“After the excellent album- “Count in my Heart”, Ronen Shteinbaum proves again that this is an Indy creator, very worthwhile to all listeners. The album was one of the prettiest surprises in the past years in the Israeli Indy.” (Walla, Culture)

“Carmel is a little Bjork, a little Kate Bush, a little everything. This is what makes her the unique artist she is- reminding many other artists and yet able to create her own original material.” (Zman Yerushalayim)
