The Leading Modern Dance Company in Canada is celebrating 40 years by an international tour, which includes three pieces written especially for the event.
The band's new program presents works by three of the most prominent and famous choreographers in the contemporary dance world, including the prizewinning Israeli choreographer Barak Marshall. Marshall's contemporary and fascinating work deals with searching for real emotions in the competitive world of electronic music, computer games and the Internet.
The Montreal dance company, which was founded in 1972, continues to grow and develop just as it did in its early days without losing its liveliness and youthful spirit, and that became its signature. Since Louis Robitaille became the artistic director in 1998, the band fits itself to the spirit of the contemporary dance, while maintaining the original vision. Thanks to the uncompromising quality of their performance, the band is loved by audiences and visitors from all over the world.
