Evan Fallenberg, the author of When We Danced on Water, will meet Abby Frucht, the author of The Bell at the End of a Rope, for a conversation about their latest novels.

Evan Fallenberg is the author of two novels - Light Fell (Soho Press, 2008) and When We Danced on Water (HarperCollins, 2011) - and translator of many more, including Ron Leshem's Beaufort, Batya Gur's Murder in Jerusalem, and Meir Shalev's My Russian Grandmother's American Vacuum Cleaner and A Pigeon and a Boy.

Abby Frucht's new collection of stories is forthcoming from Narrative Library. Her first collection, FRUIT OF THE MONTH (University of Iowa Press), won the Iowa Short Fiction Prize for 1987, and was followed by five novels. Like Abby Frucht's other works, her new stories and other writings approach dark events via a playful perspective, exploring the mysterious, surreal, and eccentric aspects of our lives and their many ways of ending.
