Beit Avi Chai presents "Jerusalem Syndrome": Conversations into the night about Jerusalem with Jerusalem residents

It's stimulating, seductive, threatening, exhausting, challenging, elevating, humiliating. It's as though without the heavy stones in its foundations Jerusalem would explode from its intense conflicts and contrasts. Artists, cultural figures, and intellectuals try to figure out the secret of their bond with Jerusalem.

The sessions will include:

• Pictures and Flavors: Sherry Ansky, an expert on Israeli cuisine, and her life partner, photographer Alex Levac, tour the beloved, complex city.

• Body and Identity: Choreographer Ronen Yitzhaki, director of the Kol Atzmotai Tomarna dance school, explores what constitutes Jerusalem dancing.

• The Mini-Towns of Jerusalem: Poet Gali-Dana Singer explores the many towns that make up Jerusalem

• The Many Faces of Jerusalem: Sanctity, history, majesty, and heterogeneity-Prof. Uriel Simon, Professor of Bible at Bar-Ilan University

Moderator: Yair Ettinger (Ha'aretz)

"How I Liberated Jerusalem"-the main show:
poet and singer Yankele Rotblit with some of his best songs. Guest: musician Michael Greilsammer.
Gadi Ronen, keyboard / Boaz Reinschreiber, guitar

The program will be advertised on the BEIT AVI CHAI website and in newspapers shortly before the event.
