Beit Avi Chai presents "The Seven Species--A culinary workshop for Tu Bishevat": Why is the Jewish people likened to wheat? And why do we hope to have our merits multiply like the seeds of a pomegranate? Why are honest and righteous people held to resemble figs? And what is the connection between the seven species and fertility and abundance?

In honor of Tu Bishevat, chef Yossi Ben-Dayan and Baruch Barzel invite you to an educational culinary workshop focusing on the seven species with which the Land of Israel is blessed.

The workshop will include a demonstration of how to make salads and soups from Israeli fruit, as well as tastings of the results.

Length of workshop: 3 hours

The workshop will be held twice:
Tuesday, January 19, 7 PM
Monday, January 25, 7 PM

In conjunction with the Tachlit Center for Continuing Education at Hadassah College Jerusalem
