About This Event

The Bloomfield Science Museum presents “Man-Machine in Science and Art”, a conference marking 100 years since the birth of Alan Turing, one of the founders of computer science. The conference will take place on June 14, 2012 from 9:30-17:00 and will deal with the existing connections and mutual influences between humans and machines, and expressions of this connection in art, science, philosophy, technology, and history of science, in musicology and common interfaces. Researchers, artists, designers, and curators will have the chance to meet up at the conference, which is joint initiative of the history and theory departments at the Bezalel Academy for Art and Design and the Bloomfield Museum of Science. Entrance is free.
