Where is Mrs. Gabbai:

Theater in the Alleys of Yemin Moshe

The childhood neighborhood of Jack Shvili serves as the setting for a street theater, which takes place in the alleys of Yemin Moshe. The performance revives past games, songs, sounds and memories. The plot follows the traces of Mrs. Gabbai - a unique and mysterious character who knew how to control seasons and alter moods.

Jack Shvili, together with Avi Cohen, combine acting, puppets' manipulation, songs and stories, in a unique and original theater.

* The activity takes place in Yemin-Moshe neighborhood. 

* Not suitable for trolleys. It is recommended to bring a hat and water.

Duration: appox. 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Meeting point and ticket-purchasing: 30 minutes before the show/tour, across the French Consulate at 5 Emile Botta Street (Jerusalem).

Dreaming Animals:

A child is afraid to sleep alone. He finds comfort in the animals in his room, that join him in his bed: first the Teddy Bear, then the snake, and even his toy-truck. They take away his fears, but take up the whole bed until the child misses the bed that he once had all to himself. Then, after fulfilling their mission, all the toys go back to their place, and at last the boy can go to sleep... A sweet show for the little ones, about dreams, fears and other animals, combining actors, puppets and shadow theater. Duration: approx. 45 minutes

Far Over the Sea:

On Bialik Street in Tel Aviv an old suitcase is found; in it a little hut, in the little hut a cellar, in the cellar an old book: Bialik's poems for children. In the book is hidden a little bird that arrived from far over the sea. Apparently the poems have disappeared from the book. How will she collect them again?  

Shahar, a devoted collector of old objects that he finds in the streets of Tel Aviv is all there to help her. They set out together to find the lost poems. From morning till night they roam around the city. The little bird discovers titles and words on bulletin boards and street signs, and Shahar finds and invents characters from the objects that he finds along the way. Together, they revive the poems and become good friends. Does every child in the audience have a bird to join him or her on a private journey?  

Bialik's known and forgotten poems come to life through old objects, puppets, and original music while hints of the city of Tel Aviv are in the background.  

How is Bialik's rich, imaginary and archaic language relevant to the children of Israel today? How are old and unfashionable objects relevant in an abundant consumer society, in which every single day thousands of items are being thrown away as garbage.

The Show participated in the International Festival of Puppet Theater - Jerusalem, 2009.

Dream Trackers – New Show

Beginners Course

A beginner dream tracker must move in a very unique way... without the dream noticing him.

Because… If the dream senses that there is someone around, it disappears at once.

You should also study unique steps; in order to be at all places at simultaneously at all places at once.

A dream tracker must learn how to manipulate a dreams detector–That is the only way one can learn to distinguish between a real dream and a meaningless dream, between a daydream and a dream in "Aspamia".

You cannot learn it at once. You must be very skillful... In order to become a dream tracker, you must go through a short course with us.

The course will take place in the dreamy alleys of Yemin Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem, and will provide skills of tracking and identification of dreams with modern trackers equipment.

At its end, you will receive a graduate diploma of dream tracking beginner's course!
