Starting January 27th every Tuesday and Friday

 

FROM HEROD’S PALACE TO BRITISH PRISON

A TOUR OF THE NEWLY OPENED CITADEL MOAT AND KISHLE EXCAVATIONS

 

A treasure trove discovered during excavations in the moat and Kishle building showing Jerusalem’s timeline of thousands of years through archaeological findings dating back from British Mandate to First Temple Period starting at the top of King Herod's tower to see the magnificent views of Jerusalem, passing through the moat down the Herodian pool stairs and into the Kishle building to see the spectacular excavations including the foundations to King Herod's Palace! 

 

Starting January 27th:

 

Every Tuesday: 10:30 with a special entry fee of 28 NIS with presentation of an Israeli ID card for senior citizens

 

Every Friday: 11:00

 

Price (that includes entrance to the Museum as well as entrance to temporary exhibition “Jerusalem: A Medical Diagnosis):

45 NIS for adults 

 

The excavations, that were carried out by the Israel Antiquities Authority, were funded by The Jerusalem Foundation and managed by the Tower of David Museum.
