Coffee Shop (German Colony)
This establishment has closed.
Israelis are often fiercely loyal to their homegrown brands – a phenomenon that many foreign restaurant chains discovered when Israelis failed to flock to their shiny new restaurants. Perhaps the most spectacular failure was that of Starbucks, whose rapid worldwide replication was essentially stopped cold within the borders of Israel.
Why? Because of native Israeli coffee chains, like the creatively named Coffee Shop. Like its nearly identical competitors Aroma and Cafe Hillel, Coffee Shop serves up an extensive list of coffees, teas and other hot beverages (like Middle Eastern favorite sahlab), fresh juices and smoothies, several varieties of baked goods, salads, soups, a choice of filling dairy sandwiches on freshly baked bread and light Israeli food (shakshuka).
Service is always prompt and the branches are always clean and nicely furnished in shades of orange and black.
