Esti and Perla

Esti and Perla

Ein Kerem, located among the pine trees and terraces of the Judean Hills on the western outskirts of Jerusalem, has gradually transformed itself during its 60 years under Israeli control from a sleepy village notable mostly for its churches in honor of local resident John the Baptist to one of Jerusalem's most trendy neighborhoods, attracting well-heeled residents who want the advantages of country living within an easy distance of downtown.

Catering to the Ein Kerem crowd is Esti and Perla – Eiruach Ba'kfar (Esti and Perla – Hospitality in the Village), a cozy restaurant run by and in the home of two ladies by the names of Esti and Perla, who have resided in Ein Kerem for over 50 years.

One of Ein Kerem's few quality kosher restaurants, Esti and Perla serves high-quality dairy food, specializing in Moroccan fare. The restaurant opens for groups from 10 to 100 diners – call to book.
