Mifgash Hashech
Mifgash Hashech
Spending a night under the thrall of the hot DJ-of-the-week's Euro-trance-lovin' turntables, dancing your way from one club filled with sweaty revelers to another until the sun comes up over the Talpiot industrial area in south Jerusalem can really take it out of you, especially if you haven't augmented the evening with any sort of, erm, chemical aid.
So with the ever-present crowd of dazed and hungry clubbers staggering out of the neon darkness in mind, Mifgash Hashech was established right off Ha'oman Street on Tzerat in the middle of Talpiot. Open 24 hours, Mifgash specializes in the Israeli equivalent of guilty post-party comfort food: all manner of baked goods stuffed with cheese, mushrooms, eggs or a combination of the above, breads covered in cheese or za'atar, pastries and its signature dessert, sachlab, a hot pudding with coconut and and cinnamon made from an Egyptian root. Eat it with a spoon and look around to see how the other beautiful people have fared over the course of the night – and when you're done, head downtown for the after-parties that last until morning.למפגש השיח' בעברית לחץ כאן
