Two Day Tour: Galilee and Golan Heights

Day 1:
You'll drive via the Valley of Sharon to Beit Shean national park, a well-preserved ancient town containing ruins from Biblical to Byzantine times, then travel through the holy city of Tiberias to Capernaum, the base of Jesus' early ministry on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. You'll then move on to Tabgha, site of the miracles of the loaves and fishes and the church dedicated to it, and then climb to Tzfat, the blue city, a center for Jewish mysticism for hundreds of years unto the present day.
You'll spend the night in a kibbutz guesthouse before embarking on...
Day 2:
You'll start the day with an invigorating hike through the Banias Nature Reserve, which contains a major source of the Jordan River and the ruins of the ancient Roman-era city Caesarea Philippi. You'll then ascend the Golan plateau and visit Birkat Ram, a crater lake, and gaze out over Quneitra, a Syrian ghost town abandoned in the wake of fierce fighting during the 1967 Six Day War. You'll stop in Katzrin, the quiet capital of the Golan, then head back into the Galilee for stops at Yardenit, the Jordan River baptismal site, and the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, before returning to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.
