The Leonardo Plaza hotel is home to not only the haute Italian seafood restaurant Primavera, but also a mehadrin kosher sushi bar in the main lobby run by the same team of restaurateurs behind the popular Sushi Mania in Ra'anana.

 

Under the auspices of Chef Yama Oyamada, who carefully collaborated with Primavera's chef Shalom Kadosh to create an all-kosher, all-natural Japanese menu, Sushi Bar benefits from the assortment of fine and fresh seafood delivered daily - after all, Jerusalem is mere kilometers away from the aquatic bounty of the Mediterranean, one of the world's prime fishing grounds. Other ingredients, from nori to shiitake, are fresh and natural. adhering closely to traditional Japanese sushi standards. But even with all that fish at hand, the restaurant shies away from strict traditionalism, and like Primavera next door, incorporates the native products of the Middle East to create a unique sort of Japanese-Med fusion fare.
