Dan Hills

The wealth of French restaurants around Jerusalem skew heavily toward the meat side (foie gras anyone?), which is part of what makes the French-Italian eatery Dan Hills so special: its dairy menu. Aside from crepes (both savory and sweet), paninis, foccacias, pastas and pizzas, the kosher restaurant boasts a number of gratins, certainly not standard fair for the Jerusalem dining scene. Located inside the new Dan boutique hotel Harmony on Yoel Solomon Street, the restaurant is an homage to immigration. Both owners recently moved to Israel from France and it was designed by a recent émigré from Chile.
