International Women's Day 2013 at the Museum of Islamic Art
The Museum of Islamic Art invites you to spend Friday morning at the museum and enjoy an enriching tour with a feminist tilt at the museum’s bold exhibit centered around the theme of the women’s place in the Arab world and attend a fascinating lecture given by “Masa Acher” photographer Harel Stenton. The price of the tour and lecture is included in regular museum entrance.
11:00: Guided tour of the “Between Pain and Sorrow” exhibit, focusing on the Arab women’s place in society. Led by the curator, Farid Abu Shukra
12:00: Old-new woman: the treatment of women in the cultures of the world, a lecture by Harel Stenton.
