Beit Avi Chai presents "Singing the Words": Classic poems in Hebrew song-a series of encounters with musical accompaniment

From Bialik to Zach and from Rachel to Hanoch Levine, Hebrew poetry was and remains a rich resource for songs and an important document of the Israeli spirit.

A new look at the great Israeli poems from all periods. New arrangements of selected poems will be performed at each session.

Session 1: Inside the Home

If walls could speak they would probably be great poets, recounting what takes place inside the home, between husbands and wives and within the family: dreams, love, hatred, and jealousy.
Readings from the works of Bialik, Yehuda Amichai, Nathan Alterman, Amir Gilboa, Sasha Argov, Roni Somek, and others.
