Basher Resto Cheese Bar is located at the edge of the legendary Machane Yehudah market on Agrippas street, with a variety of menus that revolve around the Basher fromagerie's rich selection of world class cheeses. The restaurant is located in a historic structure built at the end of the 19th century in the "Sukkat Shalom" neighborhood, the ninth neighborhood to be built outside of the original walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, with vaulted and arched ceilings made of Jerusalem stone. The quaint, historic feel is retained by the restaurant in which the bars, tables, and even serving platters are made of hand-made olive wood and red eucalyptus.

The lower floor, which has a quieter, more intimate feel, is essentially a water hole which originally served as a well for the building. It is now divided into four rooms, one of which houses a wine cellar in which over 100 varieties of wines are stored. The other three are furnished with grand wooden tables, and the whole basement is outfitted with a professional ventilation system keeping the air fresh and climate controlled, while providing guests with a cozy, intimate experience. The restaurant is suited for any number of visitors from a couple to parties of up to 20.

Back upstairs, at the front of the open kitchen is a display of the huge selection of cheeses available at the restaurant, as well as dishes from the menu on display. The magic of the kitchen is an inseparable aspect of Basher's unique atmosphere; the tempting scents and colors, and seeing the kitchen in action all add flair to the extraordinary culinary experience.
